Medicolegal Reports

I prepare psychiatric reports under instruction for various purposes. Common requests include opinions for fitness to plead, impact of mental health on offending, and recommendations for disposals.

Nick-Knack (Electronic Patient Record)
  • Developed and implemented across 3 hospital sites in medical, surgical, and psychiatric specialties, for use by all members of a multi disciplinary team.
  • Featured a tiered approach to clinical information by expected rate of change and a UX that facilitated flow of information to / from paper outputs.
  • Improved the accuracy and timeliness of clinical information in various previously paper-based or digitally-disparate processes, including ward rounds, clinical - handovers within and between disciplines, incident reporting, and task management.
  • Integrated results from local pathology, radiology, and electronic observations systems.
  • Awards: Foundation Prize for Outstanding Doctor by Lincoln County Hospital, finalist in Derbyshire Healthcare's annual Delivering Excellence Every Day Award.
  • Enabled easy outcome reporting, gathering data presented at 2 International conferences.
Digitised Remote Dementia Service
  • Developed and implemented an application to allow asynchornous collection of assessment information
  • Synthesise collected information to be presented during MDT meetings, to formulate diagnoses and care plans, to generate onward letters and prescriptions, to patients, carers, and involved GPs.
  • By replacing previous paper and dictation-based processes, I reduced the communication time from decision making at MDT meetings from an average of 2 weeks to within the same day.
  • Awarded Lincolnshire Partnership’s Staff Recognition Award 2017.
